Dear Students,

First of all, I would like to sincerely congratulate you for choosing us for your university and faculty choice, which is one of the most important career journeys that determine the course of your future life. With this university and this faculty where you will study, you have taken the first step to create a successful future in your life.

Bursa Technical University, which started with the motto of Innovative State University, was established as the second state university of Bursa with 6 Faculties, 2 Institutes and 1College according to the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 21.07.2010 and numbered 27648. The Faculty of Maritime Studies continues to maintain its qualified development with the increasing number of academicians and students every year. The Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of the Faculty of Maritime Studies has started to admit students with 40 quotas as of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Our faculty, established with the mission of serving the maritime sector with its innovative and entrepreneurial staff, is the first and only Maritime Faculty of Bursa, serving a wide area extending from the Southern Marmara and Northern Aegean cargoes to Thrace in the west and to the Central Anatolia region in the east, which handles national and international cargo operations at its ports.

Our faculty members, who are experts in their fields, look forward to meeting with you with high motivation. They aim to prepare our students for the future in the most ideal way, to ensure that they can easily adapt to the rapidly changing world order and to contribute to the transfer of the potential in their young, dynamic and innovative minds to the business world when they enter the working life.
